About the event
In this class you will learn about Reiki and how to give Reiki to humans and animals. Connect back to your animal nature as a human and explore the divine nature of the animal kingdom. Animals have their place in the universal grand scheme just as we do and our connection with them has a divine purpose. We use the curriculum of the International Center for Reiki Training for the Animal Reiki class which requires you to be a Reiki Level 1 practitioner. You will receive that qualification on day one. You can also split the class if you do not wish to take animal reiki or if you are already a Reiki level 1 practitioner:
Day One: Reiki level 1
Day Two: Animal Reiki Level 1
Note that you must be a Reiki level 1 practitioner in order to take the Animal Reiki level 1 class. Day one qualifies you. If you took Reiki level 1 with a different teacher you will already be qualified for the Animal Reiki class.
We give Reiki to each other in person or online. We make use of live webcams for giving Reiki to animals in zoos and sanctuaries. At our choice we may decide to go outside and find some wild animals or meet in a park with our own animals. If you have farm animals and you live locally you are welcome to offer your venue for an hour. You do not need your own pet to join the class. Do not bring pets to class. In this class you wil learn:
Day ONE: Reiki Level 1
- The Reiki basics. What Reiki is, where is comes from, how to use it
- How Reiki heals
- The basic hand positions for humans
- How to give a full Reiki treatment
- You will receive a Reiki attunement
Day TWO: Animal Reiki Level 1
- You will receive an Animal Reiki attunement
- Animal vs Human Reiki: considerations
- Obtaining Permission from the Animal
- Giving a complete Reiki session to animals
- Clarifying caregiver (owner) expectations
